Who is boo?

boo was founded by Amanda and Jo Booabbood—a husband-and-wife team who met through their shared passion for creativity while studying interior architecture and product design. They graduated in 2009 from the famed Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts (ALBA) and have since returned there to teach the next generation of product design students.

boo’s designs have been exhibited at renowned creative festivals and biennials in Doha, Beirut, Dubai, Singapore, Milan, and Paris. They have collaborated on internationally acclaimed collections with artists and craftspeople from Qatar, the MENA region, and beyond. boo’s products have been sold all over the world in galleries and creative boutiques such as Sursock Museum, M7, and Studio 7.  

Their creative partnerships with Qatar-based organisations began in 2018, and due to the overwhelming success of these projects, they opened a regional design studio in Doha in 2021. Boo has had the honour of collaborating with some of the nation’s leading organisations, including Msheireb Properties, Qatar Foundation, and Qatar Museums.

Over the past decade, boo design studio has built a thriving network of collaborators and now partners with some of the world's most respected and celebrated cultural organisations. boo design studio is always searching for the next great tale to be told—their opportunity to create genuine meaning.
